DAYS106+ THURSDAY, APRIL 15-SUNDAY , APRIL 18, 2021: PACKING TO LEAVE, ENJOYING FRIENDS

Thursday started off with a great paddleboard morning' The canals were quiet except for the occasion morning coffee drinker sitting on their patios drinking coff, reading the paper, working on ipads or simply watching the sunrise. Because i had both hands busy and keeping my balance, taking photos is not an option unless i want to swim with the manatees and pelicans who are diving for food. Other people out this morning were those preparing for a day of fishing. As these hearty souls left their docks, they said helloand slowly pulled out into the canal' I thanked them for no wake'Towhich they answered: We try.... lol to lake a wake or not to. I guess not to.

We had virtual tour of Wellen Renaissance, the Largo homes, with Judy, Michael and Ilona. We are so looking forward to getting started on the process but the builders, probably being greedy, are not releasing land for the homes. The longer they wait, the more they raise the prices. It is becoming very frustrating.
We talked with Judy and Michael for a long time trying to sort out what there is no answer to. Ugh.

Our news today was upsetting. Two of our dear friends, both woman with the same first name found out this week that they hva serious illnesses. I can not imagine either one being ill: At mass today, as other days, candles were lit and prayers said. They are in God.s hands. May HE heal them through the doctors knowledgeable , professional hands so they may continue to enjoy life with family and friends. Life is so fragile, so precious. Prayers are asked of those few with whom I share this Blog.
Our thoughts flow to them so many times each day. We would love to share all this with them.

Today we shared an afternoon with Rashel and Evelyn while their parents had a few hours out on the boat alone for the first time in 4 years. We read Bartholomew and the Oobleck.  At 6 and 4 they know how to make us smile.

So many of the things Linda and I did with our third graders, I am doing with these with the girls. After reading the book, we made the  Oobleck.  They played with it for nearly an hour and were determined to take it home. The were covered in corn starch and had green hands but all worth it. Tom was washing my jeep so we had all the soapy water we needed. Today is the last day we see them until November.

RASHEL REALLY KNEW WHAT TO DO AND ASKED LOTS OF QUESTIONS

SO WHAT, WE HAVE GREEN HANDS

WONDERFUL FAMILY ALLOW US TO RENT THIS SPOT EVERY YEAR

I CANNOT EVEN COUNT THE NUMBER OF STORIES WE READ: THEY LOVE BOOKS

We read many stories today. Have to love You Tube for all the children s books i love but cant carry with me. We made and ate Red white blue popsicles, and painted more rocks. When Evelyn asked for a healthy snack to eat as I read, I offered cheese, popcorn, peanut butter, carrots ( since we read a book about scary carrots), yogurt, turkey and more.
She decided on mini m and m's and Rashel, chocolate chips. It is like a grandparent 's house, you get what you want. These two are fabulous story listeners.

Big hugs and good byes were given. Mom and Dad had a good time too.

We spoke to Geri and Joan. Nearly time for everyone to head to,RI. We will see them after our trip West.
I spoke to mom and dad. We are missing the kids at home , family nand my parents. Happens often but especially when we are packing up.

Last night I made a GF turkey dinner with spaghetti squash. Sylvia made a salad. We ate it after sunset in her upstairs home.
We wont see any of them after Thursday until November.
