DAY 142, 143 MONDAY, TUESDAY MAY 24, 25 2021: Leaving Cincinnati and heading to EVERGREEN LAKE PARK IN CONNEAUT, OHIO

At 7 am we were on the road. Tomorrow, Buffalo! Yeah!
TONIGHT'S CAMPGROUND

Evergreen was a quiet homelike campground. The staff, Shay, her husband and family were friendly and helpful. I rode  my bike to the Dollar Tree for cards. They had my favorite wrapping paper. It was only a half  mile away. So close, too close for me. Of course, there was lots of good stuff I did not need. The cards and paper were perfect though .
Tom and I played miniature golf.
We didn't play well, but it was fun.
PRETTY BAD BUT FUN

EMILY POSTED THIS ADORABLE PHOTO OF BIANCA EVA

MASS AT MOUNT CARMEL': ALWAYS UP LIFTING

This morning, Tuesday, we are on our way to Grand Island. I look forward to seeing the Santos family to celebrate Bianca's Baptism. We also look forward to Maddy flying in to be Bianca's godmother.

DAY 141: LEAVING NASHVILLE FOR CINCINNATI,OHIO. SUNDAY, MAY 23, 2021

We left Grand Ole RV Resort ai 6:45 am.
As we traveled into Kentucky, there were so many places of interest I wanted to stop. We were in the area of the Mammoth Caves National Forest. We passed by Diamond Cave RV Resort. That woulld be a place to stay. Signs for Horse Cave, Mammoth Cave, Diamond Cave-and so many others were passed as we climbed hills and coasted into valleys.
Traffic was light. The greenery beautiful.

I followed mass with Father Zinno and Father Stephen.
THE SERON WAS ABOUT SIMON PETER. I GUESS I NEVER KNEW THAT HE HAD BEEN CRUCIFIED UPSIDE DOWN BY HIS REQUEST SINCE HE DID NOT FEEL WORTHY OF BEING CRUCIFIED THE SAME WAY AS  JESUS.
I know we are required to attend mass in person once again but not being near a church, facebook with Fathers Zinno and Stephen has been a blessing.

Tom just mentioned we have entered the Eastern Time Zone. I want to say hello to Sylvia on the girls at 10. I better check at 9 too in case. I will. e happy not to keep switching. We just lost an hour. Lol.

Fruit of the Loom factory was just on our left as we whizzed by. The factory store was next door. We are passing these places way to early on a Sunday morning. Nothing  is open.
No run so I am barely awake.

We arrived in Cinncinati around 1:00. I took out my bike and rode around the lake adjacent to the campground. I saw the opening in the gate and saw the bike path going left and right. Tom asked which way I was going. I said right. As I rode, I saw through the forest, families fishing and other families picnicking. I continued along the lake's edge and saw some bridges crossing over streams . Not knowing where I was going, I decided to follow the original bike path which led me by some private properties and back to my starting point. It is between 4-5 miles long. I returned through the gate and crossed the street to the cemetery. Of course, that ride was peaceful. This is the third camp area we visited this week that was avross from a cemetery. What does that mean?
Entering Cincinnati.

CONNECTED WITH SYLVIA AND SUSAN BEFORE SYL STARTED Zumba

ON THE ROAD

THERE IS A RIVER DOWN THERE WITH BARGES ANCHORED

For dinner we had the Tamali Pie Mary Margaret made and we froze. So good. It has corn and is GF so I-can make it for the Sullivans to try. Served with sour cream, quac, and salsa it is delicious.

Chan texted that they went on a family bike ride. We missed doing that with them this trip. Next time!

DAY 140+ IT IS SATURDAY, MAY 22 , WE A RE HEADING TO MEMPHIS. TN

Can't make this stuff up. We are doing all this. We have to be insane, but let us call it adventurous!
Friday , sadly, we left our kids in Flower Mound, Tx and headed for Arkansas.
MAKING A PUZZLE WITH GRANDPA AND JOSEPH

JOSEPH AND I 'LET' GRANDPA PUT IN THE LAST PIECE
WE WORKED ON THIS FOR A WEEK
CELEBRATING JOES RUN WITH HIS RUNNING CLUB AT ON TAP
BTW, JOSEPH HAD A ROOT BEER FLOAT

JOSEPH IS ON THE MIDDLE SCHOOL
JOSEPH HAS WONDERFUL ROLE MODELS

HIS TEACHERS ARE VERY SUPPORTIVE

We were very fortunate to be able to watch Morgan's last string concert for the year via Facebook.

MORGAN AT HER SPRING STRING CONCERT.
It was so good.
And , we listened as we sat at On Tap.

WE GOT HUGS MUTIPLE TIMES PER DAY FROM THE KIDS
THESE WERE SAYING 'See You Soon' We hope!

The enjoyment ended and the craziness began. We stopped at a truck stop to print out the many pages the Conklin Reynolds Associates sent us for the sale of the NH condo. Sad to sell that but we do not  use it enough. But, our friend Leslie is buying it so, we are happy a out that! Then we had to find a Notary Puplic! On the highway!??
Fortunately for us we stopped at a rest area near Texakana , Texas. A very helpful woman there looked up the number to the Hope, Arkansas town hall. A woman there named Amber told us to head there now and she would notarize our papers as we sign! What luck. We brought the beast through downtown and parked by the town hall. Boy, did we look out of place.
Amber sealed everything and made us a copy. She wouldn't take anything for it other than  the $10 to record it in her book showing she signed and placed her seal on paperwork. It is a book that proves her notarizing in case she is ever called to court. We signed that she did notarize for us. It covers everyone 's butts. Fine by me/. We said we would pay the favor forward. She made our day. Then we hightailed it to G and M rv park to park the beast and find the nearest post office to overnight this packet to NH. At 3:45, the PO closed at 4, we were filling out the overnight envelope to send.
I do not believe it will actually get there over night, but as long as it arrives before Tuesday, I am  good with that.
Another "thing" done!
We spent a quiet night at G and M. I finally got to read my book for a few hours. We went to bed early for a 5:30 alarm.

At 5:30 we were up and by 6:15 am we were on the road. We didnt want to wake everyone with our generator, so we went to the Loves around the corner for a coffee.
Now on to Nashville.

We passed the Louisiana Purchase State Park. There is so much history in our country. I want to absorb it all. We crossed the mighty Mississippi. Because a bridge was out of service do to disrepair, unsafe. I just hoped the new route didn't bring us to a bridge we couldn't pass under because our coach gps is set for our height, weight, length and width.
THE MIGHTY MISSISSIPPI

A DIFFERENT BRIDGE TAKES US OVER: 40 EAST BRIDGE IS CLOSED PERMANENTLY

A COMPLETELY GLASS HOUSE BOAT WITH A SIDE SLIP FOR THE 40+ SAILBOAT
The TV showing the building of this was mesmerizing.

We arrived at Grande Ole at 2:00 pm. We were going to unhitch the car and go,to,find some music but the music came to us. Saturday night dinner was Country Fried Steak with veggies. Music was by David Thain and Friends: Christy and Myrna.
They were great!.

FABULOUS: NASHVILLE CAME TO US. I sent photos to Morgan! She plays the violin. and this ms is such fun to listen to, it has
to be lots of fun to play. Go, Morgan. I am now facebook friends with Myrna. She records her events live.
My favorite song Neon Moon was played. We could have danced but Tom had returned to the rv for a few minutes.
They asked for harmonic  players. We wished Michael and Judy had been here.
Kevin and Shirley would have loved this too.

Grand Ole RV Resort is a place to revisit.

THROUGH DAY 139+MAY 11 _ MAY 19 ON THE ROAD TO FLOWER MOUND, TEXAS TO SEE THE OSTIGUYS

At 4:30, 5:30 inn RI, I did Angies class. No running. It is pitch black out there. We hope to leave around 7. The park was a dump, but we could stand it for a night. Besides, next door was an incredible BBQ place so i walked over for one of their Mitch's Combinations Plates. it was more than enough for both os us with some left over. I used the sausage to make breakfast sandwiches.

The Blog gave me nothing but trouble last night. It hates photos all of a sudde. And, I have so many great ones to post. Well, there you have it, I post too many. But, they are the best!

Okay, I tried again. Doesn't want photos, my incredible photos! Inupdated the blog and sent a message to the web master but  they rarely answer.

DAY 129: LEAVING DEMING HEADING TO ALBUQUERQUE DAY 130, 131 ALBUQUERQUE TO AMARILLO MAY 10

6:30 in Deming, 8:30 in RI...I did Angies HIIT CLASS. I could see Judy and Madlyn. Great class, then we got ready to leave.
8:15 we were on the road to Albuquerque. The  road was flat with plains flowing to our left and right with mountains in the background.  The beautiful landscape was interrupted by fields of small and extremely large solar panels as well as windmills and electrical equiped buildings to collect that electricity.
WINDMILLS AS FAR AS WE CAN SEE

SOLAR-PANELS SPRAWLED THROUGH OUT THE PLAINS

THERE WERE SOME COWS BUT WE NEVER SAW A BARN

THESE SOLAR PANELS WERE AS BIG AS THE RV
TOM IS FOCUSED ON THE ROAD: IT IS PRETTY WINDY

What the h___! Tomorrow is being called : Birthing Persons' Day: Saying Mothers Day is now supposedly sexist. What a world! Crazy 😝

BEAUTIFUL SCENERY

We drove past the Rio Grande River. It was pretty dry. I couldn't get a photo. There is a town called Truth or Consequences NM. I didn't know that!
