CROSSING THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE

We arrived at 81 PALMS RV RESORT at 1:45 pm. We now have a two hour difference from the East Coast. The staff was very friendly. The place is simple but clean and easy to get in. There was a small but very old fitness center. I decided to make cauliflower soup using Geri's recipe. Then Geri and I spoke for a very long time!
I caught up with my nephew, Matt and checked in with mom and dad.
I caught up on phone calls and emails. I called Carolyn to express our condolences about Marty. We read the obituary in the Bristol Phoenix. There were times we spent many hours with them- from boat rudes to dressing in Togas at the Marathon Yacht Club, Marty was a character who was hard to forget. He and Carolyn volunteered in my 3rd grade class. The kids called him Professor. Rest in Peace, Marty.

Tomorrow. we see Janet and Bob in Albuquerque!

DAY 125: CINCO DE MAYO AND A FULL DAY IT WAS

After doing Sherry's class and a run around the park, David and Mary Margaret picked us up at 9.
They have  shown us sooo much. More than we would have ever seen on our ow. What a day.
First stop was the Mission. Words can't describe the feeling of the Native Americans there. Their warm and desire to share with us their beautiful church mission, school, Rosary garden , and prayer steps was genuine.

HIS HISTORY IS WORTH THE READ

ARIZONA IS SO BIG!David said he worked i. his observatory on the mountain in the distance. It is 50 miles away from this spot. We laughrd when he said RI coukd fit between where we were and that mountain. ⛰.

This may not make you laugh, but it did me and then Yom when he finally figured it out. It made me laugh again everytime I thought about it. Maybe it was yhe moment or the timing but...

David said: I feel like I am upside down. Of course, we asked why?
He said because MY NOSE IS RUNNING AND MY FEET SMELL.
I KNOW, not so funny 😂 now but it was yesterday.

De Grazia prints I bought.
