Day 113: Monday, February 3, 2020: TLC ends today

Up at 6:30 to run, of course. Running around Sombrero Beach as I have done these past few days, is great. The roads are flat, the homes are beautiful, the beach is spectacular, and the number of people out that early is great. I’ve been able to see Charlotte and Dick, Myc friends each morning I run by their home. Luckily for me, the rain has come during the night or late day after I run. 

Breakfast with the girls was 8:00 am. We chatted and laughed about our events this weekend. By 9:30 the girls departed. GERI and I cleaned up. At 11:00 Tom came to get me and return Bill to his home. They were at Chair Yoga with Mindy. GERI and I were reminded the boys need to bring a “snack” for refreshments after yoga. 

Bill, with that smile, requested deviled eggs. That I can do!

By noon I was home and unpacking...ugh...hate that. By 1 I met Susan at the Wreck for lunch. Ha! Joke on us. The restaurant is closed on Mondays. The sign says: Even Pirates need a day off, a day of rest. 

So, plan B, we went to Duck Key, The Angler and Ale. Delicious. I had never been there and wanted to this year. She hadn’t been there in years. Funny how things work out. We both enjoyed it! All good!

Susan has a membership at the Dolphin Resource Center and asked if I’d like to see the center and dolphins. Of course, I said yes! It was incredible. We walked through the complex and the different areas, where different aged dolphins live. At 2:30 we saw their dance show. At 3:30/we attended the Training Area for Q and A. What a wonderful complex. We asked what happens to the dolphins, all bottle nosed, if there is a large storm or hurricane. The trainers let them lose into the Gulf. Guess what, they come back after the storm. Each dolphin has a name. Some were born there, others rescued. If you ever have the chance, visit.

Before the show started, the trainers said, no show is the same. The follow the lead of the dolphins and what they want to do. Yikes, they consume lots of fish. This is an amazing place. 

By 5:30 I was home with lots to talk about and many amazing videos to send the kids...tomorrow!
