DAY 26: THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2020:

Weird day today—pretty quiet.
I did run early today. Still windy.
I did do another of Jess's Virtual Zoomed Recorded classes. ( That is a mouth full) Then, I texted her to thank her. Even very pregnant, she teaches a kick a——class.

I Read a lot. Cleaned up a lot. Texted a lot. And , looked at a lot of photos.

We listened to the RI Governor 's message of PAUSE in living...right!
Even gyms will be closed. What aggravates me is that places that had 0 , that. means NO cases will be closed because of the continued spread.  No one says but it has to be people with symptoms, even the slightest ones are going out. Grocery shopping—? Visiting? Not Distancing or wearing masks? We are  going home for the holidays but will most likely be just the two of us, just like here.

Chan and family gave us this Basil plant from seeds and the wooden bucket from a visit to Texas.
It is doing well!
I LOVE BASIL

DAY 25: WEDNESDAY. NOVEMBER 18, 2020

This morning was a very windy one. I decided the best to do was class witn Ali and Jess — the virtual ones. it worked. Then Sylvia did Zumba outside. Perfect.
I will miss the girls. They really work at getting the steps, and Sylvia is very energetic!

Breakfast today was an English muffin with egg, cheese, and Canadian Bacon plus a banana and star fruit 🍌 from Claudia and Burt.

DELICIOUS

We talked to Michael and Mom. Michelle isn't getting our blogs by email. I tried another email. Joan texted. She wasn't getting the blogs either. They were going to junk mail.

Today is a rather gray day but the wind continues to blow. Stephanie and Chris will join us at the Islamorada Beer 🍺 Garden outdoors today. We are going to try! Masks will be worn, and social distancing in place.

At 3, Chris and Stephanie arrived with adorable 😍 BOLTs. What a well behaved pup. He didn't bark the entire day. The beer garden was a great place to sit , chat, and try craft beers.

BACK IN THE PARK
After a walk around the park we grilled hamburgers and sat outside in the breeze . We finally were able to use the tiled picnic table. It is the first time the weather was perfect 👌 for using it.

We enjoyed the day!

THIS PHOTO WAS ON THE BYC WEBSITE FOR THE  ANNUAL MEETING. THERE WAS TOMFOOLERY ON THE DOCK, PROBABLY THE LAST TIME THE MONK WAS THERE.

DAY 24: TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2020: ???

Early bird Sharon sent this 🌞 sunrise photo from Melbourne.

I do miss those sunrises on the boat that are clear and crisp. The smell of the sea and the calm are uplifting. That is when it is so wonderful to wake up early. Then, of course, you have those mornings when the sea, Neptune,  is angry and the wind, Aeolus, God of the wind , is not happy and lets off steam. When both are having a bad day, we all have a bad sea day.   And, that is a good day to avoid traveling by water.

This photo popped up on my phone of another Newport Bridge walk we did.

HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE. NOT ANY MORE.....
GREAT MEMORIES, THOUGH.

Zumba ended at noon. After breakfast and a shower, I read nearly all day. Well, I did go to the post office and did clothes while I read but reading was the task of the day. No news, no  tv, just a good 📖 book from the book store in Warren.
The owner has books by lots of local authors. perfect.

Texting with Sharon and Stephanie had me laughing. Touching base with Geri was good. Calls with Michael, Joan, and Mom filled us in on home.

We are hoping to see Paul and Sharon in Mebourne.
So sorry we missed Joan and Geri this trip. Damn virus!

This morning I did a 6 am zoom class at 426. I noted every one had masks 🎭 on during class. Kristen said it is a new rule. As long as they stay open. It is worth it. Great class by Ali.

Dinner was easy and yummy 😋. The boneless grilled ribs were perfectly marinated, then grilled. So tender. Bet I can't find those again.

We watched the Crown 🤴 on Netflix and called it a day. Tom did a lot of cleaning out of the bins today.
Me, I read!  (but I said that already).

DAY 23: MONDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2020: GREAT DAY TO SEE STEPHANIE AND CHRIS

A quick morning run was hot! When I came back, I was fortunate to get onto 426 Vitual Recorded class. It was good. At 9:00, I did Sylvia's Zumba class. The class is outside in the brisk Florida breeze.

I texted with Joan. We are happy they are here safely.

At noon, we met Stephanie and Chris at Burdines for outdoor dining. My salad with blackened shrimp was delicious. We were all so happy with our meals and company. Amalia was our server. She is such a wonderful person. Seeing her again was great.

BURDINES: THE BEST FRIES EVER

After lunch we took a ride by Marathon YC. It is closed on Mondays. Next, we went to Sombrero Beach to walk around.
The water was so beautiful. Bolts would love 💕 running on the beach. For a Monday, the beach was pretty crowded.

SOMBRERO BEACH PARK

TODAY IS BOLTS BIRTHDAY. HE FOUND A ROOSTER

I rode my bike across the 3 mile bridge which leads to Duck  Key. The ride over was so easy. The ride back was i to the wind, and mire wind, and more. It was a great ride, though.

DAY 22: SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2020: HARD TO NOT GO TO MASS ON WEEKENDS

I couldn't sleep so I took a short run even though I had not planned to. Jess has a double class today: Kettlebells and cardio. I want to do both.
Sharon and Stephanie sent us cute photos of their pups:

BOLTS TRYING TO AVOID THE FLORIDA HEAT

GINGER SNUGGLED UP AT THE HELM WITH SHARON

All my days here seem weird. I don't know if I am coming or going or what I want to do. I guess I would appreciate it more if someone else wanted to go to the beach.

The Kettlebell and Cardi Classes were great. Jess makes us sweat. I was able to see Judy and classmates.
Breakfast was next.

HOMEMADE WAFFLES WITH WALNUTS, BLUEBERRIES, BANANAS, AND PEANUT 🥜 BUTTER
Delicious and filling . It reminded me of the waffles Judy and I ate at Lauren'e after Saturday morning workouts.

At 11, Rashel came over and we worked on more math and reading. She is catching on to the 10's and counting up for easier subtraction.  In reading she does very well.

Next it was time for the beach. I read a while then went in. Compared to our 60 degree water, it has to be close to 85+here. Feels so good.

GLEAM PASSING PALM COAST

Stephanie and Chris were on their way with Big Blue so I met them outside the gate and Tom over the fence.

CHRIS WAS IN THE PHOTO...LOL ...WHERE DID HE GO?
GREAT TO SEE THEM DRIVING BIG BLUE TO BIG PINE...

THIS IS WHERE WE ARE!

THANK YOU, SHIRLEY....OH, IT'S TRUE...LOL

BIG BLUE IN BIG PINE

THANKS FIR SHARING, SHARON

I took part in BYC's Annual Meeting from 4pm to 6:30. It was great 👍 to see the members of the Board along with 90 members at once. Amazing.

Looking forward to seeing Chris, Steph , and Bolts tomorrow.

DAY 21: SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2020: IT IS OUR SECOND SATURDAY IN LONG KEY

Last night before bed and after I had sent the Blog we had an unexpected clean up 🧽 to do. I don't know where to start but I do know it will be a long time before I buy another 🍉 watermelon. I was going to cut up the watermelon that sat ( thank goodness) in a bowl on a small table between the Captain and First Mate seats. All looked innocent until I decided to pick up the bowl. Water sloshed EVERYWHERE! I can not even describe it. I, of course, shouted for Tom's help. I must have yelled loud enough because he heard me without Hearing Aids.
He put the basket near the incident. He held the bowl. I lifted the soggy deflated watermelon and put it in the wastebasket. There was water "juice" everywhere. The paper towels and  clorox wipes were nearby. All was a soggy mess. We bought that watermelon 3 days ago. It was rock hard. Now, it was as squishy as the exercise medicine balls we use for Pilates. Ugh....I was tired. Now , I am wide awake! But, all is back to normal. Only thing, I don't have watermelon for the smoothies I wanted to make : the reason I bought the watermelon.  Today my new Bullet blender arrived. I guess I can use the star ⭐️ fruit chunks I froze.
I like life better without these incidents! I didn't smell the decay before but I do now. Fabreze helped.
Anyone else ever have this happen? The watermelon 🍉 turned into a watery mess. Tom said: Thank goodness 😅 for the bowl it rested in that caught most of the liquid. Enough!

I ran...in the rain. Not my favorite thimg to do what I was at. the other end of the canal when it began. I ducked into the overhang of the restroom for about 5 minutes. I stopped and on I ran.
I decided I needed to do a 426 class. Virtual, Recorded, but it was good. At 10, Melissa taught the Zumba Toning by Zoom from 🌺 Flower Mound , Texas. I really enjoy her classes.

At 11, Yanet brought Rashel over so I could work with her in math and reading. Mini M and M 's worked their magic again. She did well and worked for 2 hours. When mom returned, neither Evelyn nor Rashel wanted to leave. They will be back. tomorrow!,

I am having trouble downloading photos and text. I want to get the photos in so this will be more photos, if I can than text.

OUR TIKI BAR AND ISLAND

THE WALKWAY TO THE RESORT'S PRIVATE BEACH

THE QUIET 🤫 PRIVATE BEACH

I shared photos with my sisters, Chatted with Michael as I sat on the beach, texted with Linda , Marissa, Matt, Sharon, and Stephanie, and picked up shells and tiny pieces of coral. I would love to share this beach with everyone. Tom read a lot.

For dinner, I made Monterey Chicken. It was quite tasty.

THE BACON TOPPING WAS JUST CRISPY ENOUGH

Emily and Todd sent photos of the kids at swimming lessons. And, this is how Todd became such a strong 💪 swimmer. I can see this in the kids.

After dinner I texted with Chan. We are so sorry not to be seeing them for Thanksgiving! This virus 🦠 sucks!

Until tomorrow......
