DAY 15: SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2020: LEAVING THE KEYS FOR DEERFIELD BEACH, FL

Yesterday, last night, I could not download any photos or send any emails. I felt I was on a planet without any way of communucating with anyone but Tom. I could not Sylvia around the corner nor Sharon and Justin next door. We could not watch the Satellitte TV because the winds continued to knock off hour signal. Reading was good. At least we had electricity.
I couldnt  send yesterday's  blog until we were driving north this morning, after we had stopped for coffee.

We made an excellent decision Thursday during a FT Dinner with Claudia and Burt. They suggested, due to the forewarned stormy weekend, we head to Deerfield Beach and stay with them . Now that we are here, and the tropical storm warning has become. Cat 1 Hurricane in the Middle Keys, we are happy not to be there. We hope the coach will still be there when we return, upright, and not dingged from flying objects.

EMILY HAS A GREAT VISIT WITH MARTHA

The weather up north is beautiful, sunny, and quite warm for November. Judy went biking through Touisett today. Lovely.

Shirley and Kevin asked us to come to Sarasota to ride out this mess. We are so grateful and would have gond if Claudia and Burt had not already asked us.
During the week, Steph asked if we might go there with the rig. At that point, we did not know it would be this bad.
Sylvia called this morning to see if we had left. Our thought was to go to her house since it is on stilts and made of concrete in Long Key. I am glad we made the decision to leave.

Claudia and Burt made a great late breakfast of German white sausage and franks with warm German pretzels and assorted mustards. Delicious, A true German breakfast.

Afterwards, Tom and Burt enjoyed a cigar with a Czech beer and chocolates.
ONE WOULD NOT KNOW THAT THE RAIN, WIND, AND STORMS WERE UNDERWAY
