BEAUTIFUL RIDE
It is 8:00 and our day is already NOT a CFD. The Sirius Radio will not work, nor can we change the station. Yesterday we could listen to WPRO talk radio with Gene Valicente and Tara Granahan. Those two make the driving time fly by! Today, nope! Frozen . Ugh. It’s going to be a long day.
We had difficulty with our new Sirius Radio. Thescreen was frozen. After many phone calls and frustration, we connected with a young man who was simply able to reset our radio from where he sat. Imagine that! Our electronics have us so connected , some problems can be solved from where you sit. It just means connecting with the right person.
I called the REV Group who built the coach. Of course, our 1 year warranty ran out in October so we would have to pay for slide repairs ourselves. We are hoping our Cornerstone Policy will Cover it after they go through the HMO policies of diagnostics, etc.
We arrived near New Green Acres RV Park around noon. Tom suggested going further since it was early. I was able to cancel that reservation and make one in Savannah at Savannah Oaks RV Resort. Im wondering how closest is to our favorite ICW stop, Isle of Hope Marina. We met Kim and her family and watched little Rivers, now 4, grow up. I miss that trip. Our issues were minor and someone was always right there to fix it.
Savannah was always a favorite stop. Savannah, a coastal Georgia city, is separated from South Carolina by the Savannah River. We spent a lot of time on that river. It’s known for manicured parks, horse-drawn carriages and antebellum architecture. The streets are cobblestoned. There are many parks such as Forsyth Park which is shaded by oak trees covered with Spanish moss. Each day I would run through the streets. The trees are covered with Spanish moss which makes them spooky in the early morning and late afternoon.

We arrived in Savannah around 3:00:Time to run!!! The ground were perfect for running. Some hills, some flats, but I could have done without the gravel. Never perfect but great to be outside.
In the office , I found some great postcards for the kids. After a shower it was dinner and laundry. The best thing we ever did was to give up two storage cabinets and install a washer and driver— everything in my reach. By 9:00, Running, writing postcards, making dinner, folding laundry, and prepping for Saturday were done. There is always so much to do just like on the boat. Tomorrow is supposed to be rather stormy so we are happy we are closer to Jacksonville, about 90 + miles away. There is a tropical storm in the Gulf heading east to the panhandle.
It‘s been another busy day. We traveled 391.1 miles and are happy to be in Savannah!
