DAY 34: MONDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2021: PLANS FOR TODAY INTERRUPTED BY A SHORT BUT HEAVY DOWNPOUR

At 6:30 I ran, and happy I did. At 7:30 I was  able to watch Father Steve from Our Lady of .Mt Carmel. Today is the feast day of athletes and those who do physical labor. Everyone needs a day when they are blessed. Great way to start the day.

I had coffee and went to Zumba at 9 am. No Toning- it began to pour. Sylvia wants Sue and I to lead Zumba classes. Ugh, Imam not comfortable with that.
No pickleball either: courts are puddles.

When I returned to the rv, I listened yo the radio.
White House Gender Policy Council: Biden made this council for all girls/ women. The council: Helping women and Girls , It  Leaves out boys: want to eliminate Racial, injustice but males are left out. This doctor wrote this book: THE BOY CRISIS.  I think I  need to read it . Many states have offices/doctors/ centers for women's health but not specifically men's health and wellness. Why can't it be for all?
Why can't it simply be the best person  for the job?
This Dr. Warren Farrel was  on the radio saying the focus is on women but there needs to be one on boys and men also. You would think that the Gender Council would be for male and female of all races he said. ( What  is this world coming to! );Doctor said now the system is biased in another way.

LONG KEY PARK INFORMATION

A MEMORY WITH MARCUS AND NICHOLAS

After Breakfast/ lunch, time for laundry, chat with Linda, call Joan, texting with the Guiteras girls,  and texting with Sharon and Stephanie to find out what is going on in their area of Florida. We are separated by hours.
I also connected with Debbie. All our worried about our family in Rhode Island.

THIS IS SUCH A LAUGH!  WE ALL NEED ONE!

I am beginning to think posting during the day is better. By afternoon and evening, the internet is overloaded and nothing gets pisted, or very little. Many great photos are missing because of the lack of downloading - frustrating.

Many  of the Guiteras girls saw this, sent to me by Shirley. Oh, we all feel the same. At least we are healthy and can laugh. Can't wait until we can laugh together.

The 1.1 mile trail Claudia and I walked. Could not post it yesterday!
With the heavy snow at home and our RING alarm, I thought Matt  was plowing: No, Turkeys were waddling across our driveway on the side of the house. I managed to photograph a few! lol

FROZEN TURKEY

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

CLAUDIA FOOLED HIM WITH A CANDLE THAT WOULD NOT GO OUT

TRAIL WE WALKED 1.1 miles

At 6, we got a little crazy...we played Bingo! it was fun. I don't like Bingo but when Tom won the first game and won a round that paid for our cards, we were good. Then he won again.
By 8:30 we were back home.
The wind is still fierce. 25-35 mph WNW with higher gusts. Everything is blowing around outside. The rug was being held down by heavy cement blocks and it was still blowing away. Tom went to fold it and it hit me right across the face. Ouch. Cold water helped.
We finally got it folded and put away.
The wind was so strong it pulled one of the window covers off. I found it in my yard.
We re hoping it calms down overnight.
