DAY 43: WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2021: LEAVING LONG KEY FOR DEERFIELD BEACH FOR THE NIGHT

After a walk and breakfast compliments of Outdoor Resorts, we began the arduous task of packing and of course we each have a different way in which this should be done. Then the discussion begins which slows us down. We had planned to leave around 10, but actually didn't get on the road until 11:25. Neighbors kept stopping by to say good bye. I don't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing. I told them we would be back but couldn't resd their faces with sunglasses 😎 on! Lol only kidding.

We have a friend who used to sunbrella all her stuff big and small. We used to say that if her husband David stayed still long enough, we would find him wrapped in sunbrella.

The ride to Easterlin Park near Deerfield Beach was pretty calm and lacked drama. Yeah!

We chatted with Michael, texted with Steph and Sharon, talked to mom and dad about VA stuff we had to take care of, and confirmed our dinner plans with Claudia and Burt. My article for the MainSheet (BYC) is now a go with Catherine Murray.

We arrived in Easterlin Park at 1:45, set up in our site, and I got nothing done! I had a pile of paperwork on the table, and there it sirs. I realized Tom had not printed all our ticket paperwork fotr the Daytona 500 so we worked on that. Not easy when internet is so poor. Finally. entrance tickets and car passes are all set, printed and posted in our phone Wallet. I found the directions on line since  the Ambassador, never returned my call. Ugh

I made rice and beans as a side dish to bring for dinner. The RV smelled like a Mexican Cantina.

Karen sent me a website to write a memory on for Emily! I don't know what is wrong. Either it was too complicated requiring downloading or my brain is just too overloaded .

At 6 we drove to Claudia and Burts. We had a delicious dinner of Picanha, grilled. So yummy. I made rice and beans . Claudia made salad. We brought Josh Cabernet and there was Dinner. After dinner, the girls went for a walk. The boys enjoyed a cigar. Ugh! How does one enjoy smoking something that stinks so badly. Reeks, hS a horrific scent....ah! Yet, they sit and watch $$$$ go up in smoke. 

We had a great day moving north, sharing a meal with friends, and sleeping in the forest with pine nuts falling plop plop on the roof. 

Tomorrow we hit Daytona.
