DAY 69: FRIDAY, DECEMBER 20, 2019: TOM‘S 71ST BIRTHDAY: AND STILL GOING STRONG

Up at 4:30 and at Jane’s by 5. It is Friday, walking day. On route through town, we stop at Dunkin Donuts for something hot. By the end of the walk, however, our drinks are nearly frozen. The temperature was 14 degrees frigid. We were all pretty comfortable except for our finger tips. Brrrrr.
We walk about 5+ miles then return to Jane‘s house. They get ready for work and I go home.

Today’s breakfast was in Rehobeth at KP Diner. He chose this for his birthday breakfast. The way I remember the name is by thinking KITCHEN PATROL. IT WAS EXCELLENT and very reasonable.

BIRTHDAY BOY

While there, Joan texted about the awful rainy weather and wind in Marathon, and Linda about being back in the hospital. MM too is on the hospital. There is never a good time for that but holidays make being there more difficult for everyone, especially the patient, of course.  We wish them well.

Tom wanted to see some photos on my phone so here are some

THE BALL

71ST BIRTHDAY

W heard from Karl and Linda and look forward to seeing them in Long Boat Key. Their card to us was rerouted back to them. Strange since we have mail forwarding. Who knows how these things happen.
I‘m sure that isn’t the only one since we have 3 addresses right now.

Tom talked to Michelle and Chan, and other assorted calls throughput the day. Then he decided, it’s my birthday and took a nap. Lol! Much better than the cigar shop! I won’t post that picture.

The day  gorgeous and sunny but has only warmed to 22   Degrees.

I started making desserts for Christmas Day and Eve as well Aas a chicken dish for Sharon‘s party tomorrow. It isn’t suppose to be too spicy but wow, it tastes more like buffalo dip. Good for me, but not others.

Would love to write about the awesome fundraiser but it’s midnight and yikes I’m tired.
I got the shingles shot today and as expected, it gave me a fever and an extremely sore arm. But, better than shingles!

Neil! What a great band. He is on the left!
