DAY 71: SUNDAY, DECEMBER 22, 2019: CHRISTMAS DAY IS NEARLY UPON US

Today I was up at 7:15 and at the gym by 7:45. Once again, Allie gave a great core class using Workout Bands and weights. These little movements don’t hurt at the moment but muscles feel the work  out later. Great way to start the day.

JUDY and I met Jane at the Uptown Restaurant. The owner, a high school friend, sat with us to chat. His sister, a friend of mine, former student teacher, came over to chat. Being in town is a wonderful thing when you see friends you haven’t seen in a while. That is one reason we like Hometown. It really is a locals gathering place. Kind of like Cheers! Everyone knows your name and people feel comfortable there.

Being with my sisters is always the best. It is part of what I miss when we are away: our daily meeting at the gym and working out together. That and being able to see our grandkids and my parents are other  reasons I like being home. After a long leisurely breakfast, we went off in our own directions. Lol, I decided I needled to start with the car wash since it was finally above 30 degrees and washed my car. I needed to get the caked on salt off. It now looks normal again, not polka dotted with white spots.

OUR CLASS ORGANIZER SENT US THIS GREAT PHOTO

YES, WE ARE LOOKING TIRED FROM OUR 5:30 am walk.
That and no coffee but we took care of that right after the photo was taken.

I spoke to Joan and sent her the Key West weather forecast from weatherman Chip. Hard to live on a boat in the Keys and not respect the weather. We want to be sure they are safe. They are. Yeah.

This is the book MORGAN wrote grandpa for his birthday. I finally was able to read it. Very emotional but established a great bond between them .

The afternoon was quiet watching football and wrapping more gifts. I thought was I was done but found a few more. I guess I won’t be done until Christmas Day.

At 5, we went to HOMETOWN to meet Michael and Judy. See what I mean, another thing we miss. I just want to be everywhere!

Watching the Eagles Dallas NFL game was great with 50 of your closest friends lol. The Cowboys lost but the game was good. A huge salad with chicken tenders and a glass of Josh was dinner.

Our 3 foot oyster shell tree shines brightly in the window, but the lights didn’t come out so well in the photo. The front door and pretty wreath don’t show up so well either in photos but look great for real.

Em and Todd took the little ones to see SANTA today. We were supposed to go with them last week but STELLA had a temperature.

LEO SEEMS HAPPIER WITH SANTA THIS YEAR. STELLA STILL LOOKS A BIT UNSURE OF THIS MAN IN RED!!

3 days until CHRISTMAS .....
