DAY 173: WEDNESDAY, APRIL 1, 2020: OUR FIRST DAY DOCUMENTING OUR EXERCISING FOR 426

APRIL FOOL'S DAY! NOT.... WOULD BE NICE IF THIS VIRUS WAS JUST THAT, OVER!

Up early to run. Miss it when I don't. The wind was over 20 knots last night from the NNW. It was honking. This morning was a perfect running day.

Breakfast:

HOEVRES RANCHEROS WITH EGG, BACON, SOUR CREAM, SALSA, AND GUACOMOLE, BANANA SLICES

Already planning dinner: Pork and vegetable calzone with mango coconut Pepper sauce: this stuff is delicious. Tastes like it was made in the islands. Mmmm

A good run today as I said. I found this on TWC : EVEN THE WEATHER CHANNEL SAID IT WAS A 9/10 DAY FOR RUNNING FOR THE NEXT 9 HOURS. YEAH!

Anything one wants to know, he / she just needs to know where to look. Ha!

Joan and I were talking yesterday about all the fun outfits and dressed we have that we have not been able to wear. We could be ALL DRESSED UP AND NO WHERE TO GO! Ugh!
Maybe when. this is over, all our closets will look like all new clothes to us since we haven't worn any of then. And, I have a closet full. We all need a special celebration after this is over.

I spoke to Roland and Janet.  Janet and I agreed that  the boys need to plan a dinner out for us also. Se all have been cooking so much. Janet is an amazing cook. Roland created an art studio for her at home. She is also an amazing artist. I cant wait to see her pieces when we return to RI.

Tom chatted with Michael. I chatted with Carl. Linda is now healing. Life has truly changed for everyone.

AS I RODE MY BIKE THROUGH THE RESORT, I SAW THIS JEEP: LOVE THIS LICENSE PLATE LOL!

APRIL FOOL's DAY FROM SUSAN...WE HAVE THE SAME EMOJIS

After dinner we headed north on our east on our bikes. Great one hour ride.

A GREAT WAY TO END THE DAY

DAY 172: TUESDAY, MARCH 31, 2020: PROPANE DELIVERY TODAY

Today there was a vey warm start to the  day. It is so weird how 2 days ago, running was a cinch. Today was more difficult=the temperature has so much to do with that.

Mass with Father Peter at St. Barnabas was at 8:30 am. It is a peaceful  time of day with a message of HOPE.

BREAKFAST: ENGLISH MUFFIN, FRESH CHEESE/ BROCCOLI OMELLETTE, AND BACON

I don't know where the days go, but they do pass by. We think so much of our kids, grandkids, family, and friends and hope to see them again soon.

Last night we had a glass of wine after dinner. I forgot to post this photo last night.
We had a long text conversation with Joan. Hard to believe, a month ago, we were having lunch with them doing simple things like laundry, laughing 😆 and folding clothes atvthe same time.  Today, instead, they were working on the boat.

After I wrote that, we had another long conversation as the climbed in the dinghy, went ashore, and drove to the hardware store. What great technology that our chatting with both Gordon and Joan never missed a beat. We eish them continued good health and that The Goose also run ship shape and Bristol Fashion.

THAT GLASS OF JOSH
( Last night, not this morning- needed to clarify)

Tom organized all paperwork- the receipts from work done. I called our friends at DePaul Diesel (who always saved us from boat issues) and who now take care of the Coach. We called for them to resend our last invoice. We want complete records of what/ where things were done.

I put together a notebook and reorganized all the RV clubs we belong to and which Good Sams services we belong to. 3 full notebooks already.

CELEBRATING EASTER 3 YEARS AGO DOING ZUMBA WITH GERI
Thanks, Geri, for sharing this photo! You motivated us all to dance and move.

FIST BUMP TO BILL WHO HAS BEEN DOING THIS A LONG TIME
So, Bill has been fashionably fist bumping to all his friends. Who would ever have guessed this or elbow bumping would be the norm.

It is 2:45 already. I just put a turkey tenderloin in the crock pot with Brussel sprouts. I started it a bit late, but, it should be done in 4 hours.

Time for a solitary bike ride.

MURIEL IS DOING KARATE, BUT NOT AT THE STUDIO, BUT FROM HOME, ON LINE, GO MURIEL

CAN' T WAIT TO DO THIS AGAIN

KIDS GROWING UP TOO FAST: 4 YEARS AGO

So, I'm back to sharing food photos . The one good thing is, I  am creating with what I have in the freezer and cupboards. It has been rather interesting. I ask Tom each day what he would like for dinner. I get shrugged shoulders. LOL! So, I just make whatever I want. He never complains.

DAY 171: MONDAY, MARCH 30, 2020: ANOTHER RIDE TO SARASOTA

I slept later today, and used weights rather than running.  I have run nearly  every day for months. Thought Id give my legs a break. I feel good but just decided. Then, I couldn't change my mind because it was too hot. I have to say, not running today made me a little frustrated. Running is as much mental as it is physical for me.

I went to the  post office to mail the kids Easter cards and a few boxes.

Many thanks to Carol and Gerry for the great emails that keep us entertained and informed. Lol!

We had a great breakfast of strawberries and an English muffin with egg, corn cob bacon, and pepper cheese. The butter on Tom's was garlic butter.
By 11:00, we were taking a ride to Sarasota, just because Tom wanted to go to the Bulls Eye Gunshop.

The folks at the gunshop were very interesting. It was a family affair. The owner's kids were there doing school work. Family was working and grandparents also. The alligator hunter is the one who recommended Bulls Eye.

We chatted with Michael, Linda, Diane, Guy and Kathy, and Bonnie. We hadn't spoken to some people in a while snd felt the need to connect.

DINNER: RED,  WHITE, AND BLUE BURGER WITH ONIONS, TOMATO, BACON,  BLUE CHEESE,  BROCCOLI, AND BACON POTATO SALAD

After dinner we went for a ride through the complexes around us. Most people were having dinner on their lanais, a few were riding bikes or golf carts, and only a few were walking. If was a comfortable ride then we rode around The Tides before heading home.

Joan sent a quick text. Missed not talking to  her today.

Ending the night with 'Josh'.

Until tomorrow...

DAY 170 : SUNDAY, MARCH 29, 2020: OUR FIRST CLOUDY DAY

Yes, it is Sunday. I still got up at 6:30 to run. It was cloudy for hours which meant it was very cool. Perfect, just too early, as usual. Again, the restroom door was locked and I had to call the Resort Ambassador to come unlock it. Day 3: Time for a letter to the management. So many things are great, but their rules are never explained or stated.

After showering, I watched Father Peters Mass. Next week is Palm Sunday. I am hoping Holy Cross Church will leave palms outside for people to pick up. I had a very long chat with Shirley M. Her church is leaving palms outside for parishioners.

The True Lies girls did a Face Time Brunch chat today. It was great to see everyone we haven't seen since February 3rd. A quick email with Joan, Colleen, and Betsy, then Tom and I took a ride to Sarasota and Venice to look at paired villas, real estate's names for two houses connected with garages in front and lanais in the back. The ones we saw were virtually only. Social distancing at its best.

What a big day for Stella and Michelle! May your day be very special. It certainly will be memorable.

Chan texted that the RV Resort we had planned to stay at in Grapevine closed due to flooding. Whew! Dodged that one.

DAY 168: FRIDAY, MARCH 27, 2020: I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT IS ALREADY FRIDAY

Yesterday I received an email from a friend who said he and his wife are self quaranteening after leaving the Florida Keys. Mmm? So I asked him Where?
He said Long Key, Outdoor Resorts! Ah! What a coincidence!
They arrived noon on March 2. We arrived at 11:00 pm March 2 and left 8:00 March 3. We wish we had known. They did not know we were there rither. Next tine!

Thank you to Father Peter for 8:30 mass.

The run was good, but soggy. It was so damp out and foggy, I could not see the lake across from us. I had to wear sunglasses which immediately fogged up but I needed them for the tiny insects that were all around. The fog never cleared up until 11:00 am.

I heard from our Teacher friends. 9 of us gather throughout the year. Our biggest gathering is at Christmas, at the Gristmill. I have with me dome of the things we shared. These are very fond memories of wonderful times we spent together. I hope to be home for the next one. Betty suggested a group Happy Hour , virtually,  on line. I suggested we ask a grandkids how to do that! They  know how.

Breakfast:

BLUEBERRY, BANANA, AND ALMOND PANCAKES WITH BACON(oops, forgot it was Friday in lent)

We heard from Michelle who will call later. She and the girls are working. That is a good thing- keeping a schedule.

We texted with Todd and Em and Joan and Geri.  We hope to FT and read to the little ones tonight. We had a long chat with MM then with Linda L. L will have surgery Tuesday to remove a C tumor. Praying it is successful.
We emailed with Grace and Werner.
