After a run, I decided to do something different. The huge medicine ball here has a great series of exercises on it. Some I hadn't done in a long time but liked so I followed the circuit on the ball. I know I will do it again. It reminded me of when Judy, Jane, and I had Steve as a personal trainer. We were sad when he moved away.
I called Geri and Debra to catch up on travel plans. If the Canadian Border is closed, we won't get to Alaska. We need to speak to Jann and Bill about this. A quick text was sent to check on Joan. Life is good in Paradise.
I had an enjoyable long conversation with Carol and Gerry, then with Cathy and Jared. We haven't spoken for a while. We are all so busy living in Paradise. It was great to hear their voices and know that everyone is healthy and living life to the fullest, avoiding crowds, being smart, but likei said , enjoying life in Paradise. I made the calls sitting by the pool sitting in the ultra violet rays. Vitamin D was needed as was the calls to my Maj Jong playing friends. I miss our weekly quartet gatherings of chatter and game playing: time on both was equal! Lol!
We are saddened that we won't see Roland and Janet in Sarasota. This virus has people changing plans. Shirley and Kevin are still here. We all texted each other. This week we need to connect. Small groups are fine. We know we are all healthy and want to stay that way.
After breakfast, Tom and I went to Snead Island, Marlow Marine to see if we could find MERMAID. No such luck. She must be inside . There were many new Marlow Explorers outside though. We passed the Bradenton Yacht Club and remembered being there with Geri , Bill, and pup, Jack.

We then took a ride to a state park which is the site of some Native American Burial Ground and Ceremonial Mound. It was small, but interesting.

Our next stop was the Gamble Confederate Plantation and Sugar Mill Ruins.

UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO THE CORONA VIRUS, ALL TOURS OF THE PLANTATION AND MANSION HAVE BEEN CANCELED. IT WAS DISAPPOINTING, BUT WE UNDERSTOOD WHY.
Before dinner we had that phone call with Jann and Bill about The Alaskan journey. We talked about changes in plans and flights. As of now, all is a go.
We will keep our plans as they are and still keep vigilant regarding the updates from the CDC.
It's time to watch the debate on TV. I want to hear what the candidates say about the virus.
We chatted with Todd. He sent photos of Stella and Leo. We love when our kids send photos of our grandkids!
