DAY 164: MONDAY, MARCH 23, 2020: BACK TO GENERAL RV FOR REPAIRS

We were both up at 6:15 am. It was very dark. We began our prep to head  to Tampa. Tom drove the coach, I drove the jeep. We arrived at 8:20 and waited for our service rep, Michelle. We also saw Monique who was our sales person. It is so weird- a zombie like atmophere but necessary , I guess to keep people safe.
T e ataff a GeneralRV is walking around with lysal and paper towels keeping table tops and chairs as clean as possible. We are the only ones in the waiting room.

I texted Judy and Jane. They will do a clean up of mom and dads apartment so we do not  have Wendyor her crew in with them. So far so good, let us keep mom and dad

As we sat at General, we spoke to Chan. We pray she and her family will be safe as she goes to work.

It was 8:30 so I was able to turn to daily mass at St. Barnabas. Father Peter spoke about working together and supporting each other as we work through the pandemic. We pray all a safe and the rate of contagion decreases.

SO, AS I MADE OUR BREAKFAST, I NOTED THIS ON THE EGG BOX OF EGGLANDS BEST EB EGGS.
SO, THESE HENS ARE VEGETARIANS.

I did not buy them for this, I bought them because there were 18 in the carton, Do some chickens eat anything else but grains?

We stayed at General until 11:30 . During that time we talked with Michael snd Todd. We were able to talk to Leo who is so excited about his birthday tomorrow. He will be 5! His teacher had been sending e-mails. She has sent him messages from his classmatez that are saying : HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LEO. His teacher has asked that parents send photos of the classmates so she can share them with classmates.
When I called, Leo was counting sets of 5, drawing 5s, and writing 5 and f-i-v-e. This is so wonderful.
Tomorrow we will FT with  him and read him and Stella some books.
We wish we could be there with him on his birthday but FTiming will be our best choice right now.

As we spoke, Em was peeling potatoes. The kids played potato basketball by throwing the potatoes into a pot of water. These kids always have fun.

Tom and I went grocery shopping. We found everything we needed. We did not need toilet paper or paper towels so we were good. I bought some books to read the kids. One has a commonent tjat makes the pages come to life. I hope it works when I read to the kids.

LEO's NEW BOOK

We called mom and dad. All well there.

We stopped at a shooting range in case Tom wants to practice.

We returned to General , chatted with Michelle, thanked her profusely, and drove the coach back to The Tides.

Joan called on her way to swim. So nice! Debra said she arrived home. So happy for cellphones.

It was a long productive day. Thanks to Robert, our rolling home is whole again.

DINNER:  CHEESE BURGER WITH GUACAMOLE, LETTUCE WEDGE WITH BLUECHEESE AND BACON, A SIDE OF STRAWBERRIES

SORRY, TOM, NO FRENCH FRIES, SWEET POTATO OR NOT

Everything in the RV was dusty. We vacuumed and cleaned both rugs and floor. Done!

  1. Yahoo! Always a productive day when the coach is repaired as committed - on time, it works and they don't break/find anything else! Congratulations!!
