DAY 166: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25, 2020

Yesterday I texted both Michael and Judy. It was two weeks  ago that they left Tom and I here. So strange, it feels like months. Time is creeping at a snail's pace.

Today i ran a short distance. I got up too  late and by 8:30 it was already too hot. I know I will be working out this afternoon.

Tom suggested we go to Detweillers, the grocery store. It is an amazing store similar to a big Tom's Market-lots of organic foods, veggies and meats. Everything was fully stocked except for psper towels. They allowed one roll per customer. The only thing we couldnt get was Chlorox wipes.
I could not resist the bakery bagels. I had to buy two. Tom and I had them for lunch with cream cheese and smoked fish spread and a few other things. Lol. So good. I have not had one of those in I dont know how long. Now, I know I have to exercise later.

Tom continued to clean the rv.

FINISHED THE DRYING

TOM MADE THIS FLAG HOLDER WHICH TURNS IN THE WIND

A great project for Tom. We saw kits to make these but he made his own.

I spoke to mom and Michael. I texted with Joan , Chan, and Jann and Bill. Without these connections and Facetimes, we would feel awfully isolated. People pass by , wave, and say hello but no one can or does get together.
Jann and Bill traveled to Lousianna . The have the worst roads. When we traveled I-10 last year, our shower actually separated from the wall. The bouncing,  rocking and rolling was awful. The cement Jersey barriers narrow the lanes. Very scary.  We wish them a safe trip.

We had a long chat with Carolyn and Rick. We talked about our great cruise together in November:  a quieter, more relaxing time.  We enjoy their company and look forward to other times we can travel together.
A TIME OF FUN AND RELAXATION

We called Fantasy RV to ask questions about what happens if one cancels. We asked if refunds we given to those who are not currently going on tours. Tours arent canceled, only postponed, I was told.  Many questions went unanswered. Jasmine said only supervisors can answer certain questions. Time to call our insurance to check out more details.

GREAT MEMORIES OF JANN BIILL, BILL, AND CARYN

GRILLED SALMON, GRILLED SQUASH, LETTUCE WEDGE WITH BLUE CHEESE CRUMBLES AND BACON.

Today we learn about micro greens . The basil is delicious.

After dinner, we Facetimed with Leo and Stella and read them a few books. So good  to see them. So far away they seem closer.

Tom and I went for an hour bike ride after our grandkids facetime.

After we rode, Geri called to FT with us. It was good to see them. They are hanging in there in Marsthon. We are all so fortunate to be in beautiful, paradise as we stay healthy from this virus. Joan and Gordon are away from danger in the lagoon and spend time at the sandbar swimming. I wish we could swim. The pool is closed and the lake has 2 alligators.

A PHOTO MAP OF LONG KEY

We heard from the Commodore of Coasters Harbor Naval Yacht Club. What a coincidence! They arrived in Long Key the day we left. We were sorry to miss Jeff and Daryl.

I sent Todd and Em a photo of all the kids books I have with me. I wish I had more. Now the kids can pick the ones they want me to read.

Sleep well everyone.
