Ugh! So, that was the start of my day. If I had been smart and had awaken earlier, I could have run outside. But, now it was too hot, and my my mind wasn't having it. I talked to Craig and Debbie for a while. He said I was the first one he thought of when the management asked him, told him, to put the sign on the door. I wonder why? Not why the sign why he thought of me (too predictable).
A walk was then in order, followed by a bike ride , and breakfast.
A MEMORY OF A ST PATS DAY LONG AGO AT MYC
Our first calls were to Michael, Todd, and Mom. Texts the calls came in from our Alaskan traveling group. We are happy we took out insurance on the trip which we hopefully won't need. One of the group called Fantasy Tours who said that those who wish may request a month's extension on the last payment. We created a binder from the info sent by Jann and Bill.
OUR ROUTE:
THIS IS WHAT OUR TOUR MAY LOOK LIKE, MAY LOOK LIKE
We had a long call with Roland and Janet as they drove back to RI from Sarasota. Better be safe than sorry. Joan and Gordon are still honkering down in the Keys. Mm is safe at home in Arizona, as are Kathy and Guy in the Keys.
Leslie called about life in NH. Loon Mountain is closed for the season, closing early due to the virus. So many memories of traveling with them from Fl to NY on the Icw, AEOLUS AND TOMFOOLERY. We hope Fran and Norm are settled in in quiet open air NH to keep away from germs. Shirley M is with her family in Baltimore, staying safe.
Mike, Jr texted Happy St Patrick's Day saying he is scrambling around NY with craziness trying to get to Florida. He checked to see if we were safe. His trip across the pond was obviously canceled.
Sharon asked if we were still in Fl. We told her we are fine and hope she and Paul are the same. I left messages with Jane and Sharon as we hope they are all hanging in there safely. Kathy and Gary , traveling companions from the Sailing Emporium , are in Venice thinking they may stay longer than anticipated.
As I walked to the pool to just sit and read, I walked by the part of the resort under construction. Where does one usually find unusual shells? The beach, ocean, you say? How about in a construction site? I think they used waterfront fill to use as a base of the brick ladden sites.
I found this one as I walked:
VERY DETAILED SHELL, SOME KIND OF SNAIL OR WHELK FAR AWAY FROM ANY OCEAN
FUN WALK WITH DAD IN TEXAS: ALWAYS FUN WITH THEM

A call from Chan ended our night. Everyone is feeling better but using common sense and staying isolated. We look forward to seeing everyone in Texas, however , we will change our plans if the virus pandemic continues to worsen. Everyone's life is now one day at a time. The main goal is to keep every family safe.
