SO I screwed up again. The entire day was ready to post. Imhit something and poof, the whole day's entry was GONE. Ahhhh!
This will be redone but briefer, I just can't do it again.. It is 10:00 and I just can't.
Running this morning was good, chilly, but i will take it. I got ready for Claudia, Burt, and Aidan to come. The sauce was on the stove. The pasta ready to go. The salad made and the table set.
I texted with Joan. We received another text from V Safe to see if we were still okay after the vaccine.
I chatted with Todd , Em, and the kids. I ordered birthday presents early. I was afraid the sizes would be gone.
THANKS TO THE OSTIGUYS AND SULLIVANS, WE HAVE SITE NAME AND HOME BANNER AND PLAQUE
THE SULLIVANS GAVE GRANDPA THIS AMAZING HOLDER FOR SNACKS AND/ OR DRINKS MADE BY ONE OF MADDY'S MUSIC INSTRUCTORS.
It is perfect. The RWB line reminds us of the RWB line down Hope Street in Bristol. The tablecloth and fancy coffee pot are from The Santos. Our kids and grandkids are with us in spirit!! We have surrounded ourselves with 'stuff' we use from them.
Tomorrow I will be doing math with Rashel at 10. I hope both girls come over so we can paint after we finish the math lesson.
Claudia, Burt, and Aidan arrived around 2:25. Time for my chacoutery board: cheeses, fruits, nuts, crackers, and meats.
It was chilly so we sat in the sun at the round table rather than under the awning.
Claudia and I brought Aidan to the beach. He didn't like the seaweed. We went ocean side. No waves but chilly.
We came back and checked out the beaches on East and West Island. We walked out to the marina . The waves were pretty good there but no where to use the skim board.
Aidan and I played horseshoes. In spite of me getting 2 ringers, he won both games. We did have fun, though. The sand was so deep, sometimes we lost the horseshoes. It was so funny. It was as if the sand swallowed them up. One time we actually spent 5 min trying to find the missing, buried, blue horseshoe. We had a good laugh about that. 14 year old boys are an odd bunch. Too young for some things, too old for others. We were happy he enjoyed his visit. He goes back to Fort Worth next week.
RETURNING FROM THE BEACH WE SAW A THREE WHEELER RALLY
After an Italian dinner of homemade gravy, pasta, sausage, meatballs, chicken , salad, and bread, we sat talking with Aidan.
Time went by quickly and they headed home. In two weeks, Claudia and Burt will be back- we will have more time to do things. And, hopefully it will be warmer.
We need to be careful what we wish for.
We watched Buffalo beat The Cots. And The Buccaneers play the Washington Redskins.
Brady 'defected', lol, left NE for the Bucs. He plays well no matter where he plays. Without him, NE, not so much!
