DAY 18: SATURDAY, JANUARY 16, 2021: A MORNING OF MATH AND PAINTING

Today I didn't run. I decided to sleep 😴. Tomorrow is the KW 5K, and we have to leave here by 5am.I did feel strange not running.
At 10, Rashel came over and we worked on place value of numbers over 100.  She likes to count by 10's , get to 90 then say 20.  What? This is when I wish I had the flats, longs, and unit blocks we used in Grade 3. Oh, teaching this would be easier. I may have to make some out of paper. If Linda was working, i would have her send me some. But, I am glad neither one of us is working. Teaching during this pandemic has been a nightmare for our friends.

TIME OUT TO PAINT
POPSICLE BREAK
The internet is even worse than ever today.I don't know if everything will download.

I PLAYED AROUND WITH SOME NEW CRAFTS TODAY

Lots of texting with the girls today. I look  forward to crafting with the girls this summer. It is more fun with others.
I prepped for dinner. Burgers in Paradise with our neighbors: potato salad, salad, cookies, burgers and sausage. Our electric grill is the best. Especially when it comes to cleaning it.

TAMING THE GATOR

Chan texted about Joseph helping at his school. The branch he cut would make a great garden project.

Time to get ready to watch Buffalo Bills play Baltimore Ravens: THE NFL PLAYOFFS. GO, BUFFALO. Need to make the exuberant Buffalo fans happy. This is the closest they have been to SuperBowl ever. Unfortunately for Buffalo, The Ravens area great team. It will be a tough game. I'll probably be a sleep before the end. Morning will come quickly today, tomorrow.

RICK'S DAILY LAUGH

We hope to have other neighbors here for dinner outside. It is easy to grill and social distance outside at picnic tables.

On Wednesday, Jason and Sharon , hopefully, we walk next door for dinner on Wednesday.

Just trying to keep things as normal as possible safely.
