DAY 13: SUNDAY, JANUARY 10, 2021: WHAT WILL TODAY BRING? HARD TO BELIEVE THAT IT HAS BEEN 2 YEARS SINCE JOHN R PASSED AWA. WE ARE THINKING OF SHARON, KELLY, AND THEIR FAMILY TODAY

Happy Belated Birthday, Rick! I feel like he is our very own comedian when sends us a chuckle of the day.

Early, short run today.  Father Zinno streamed this morning 's mass and said there would be a concert in honor of the Epiphany today at 4:00. I hoped to listen in.

Rashel came over early for math help. She is so tiny . It is hard to believe she is in first grade. We worked for 90 minutes. She stayed focused for a long time. The mini M and M's must help.
10 MATH PAGES LATER

After the math we read: THE GIRAFFE WHO COULDNT DANCE. It is a fun book of : Yes, you can if try hard enough!p

Mom came and brought us a bottle of wine as a Christmas gift. It is a Merlot that looks great. Perfect for an Italian dinner.
We wanted to paint today and invite Evelyn, but her parents needed to return to Hialeh. Next week!

I was looking through emails and this neat baking project showed up. It was called CLOUD BREAD and it was blue. It was in Metric measurements  so some math would be needed. I sent it to Michelle thinking it looked right up Muriel's alley to try. I will try it but I couldn't right now. I don't have Cornstarch on the RV. I will get some next shopping trip. Muriel decided to make it pink. Michelle said it was kind of like Angel Food Cake.

OF COURSE MURIEL WOULD CHOOSE PINK! YOU SEE THIS ADORABLE PHOTO OF HER, AND SHE LOVES PINK
I would make it blue like a cloud!

SHIRLEY THIS WOULD BE FUN WITH IYLA

To make: beat the ingredients until it makes stiff peaks. Michelle said adding cream of tartar helped. Form into a ball and place it on parchment paper.
Bake for 25 minutes at 300 degrees. Pull it apart and eat. Some people who made it suggested a bit more sugar and more vanilla or flavoring.

I began some crafts: painted, tried to paint , that is, a Thank You card.

I made a few, then said, enough of that.

On to something else!

As I created today, I listened to the Epiphany Concert. So beautiful!

Geri sent me a recipe for cauliflower soup. Since I had one head of cauliflower, I decided to cut the recipe in half.

In addition to making the soup, I made a real mess. Lol. I won't show you that. The soup made 2 cups and fit in a jar.

MAKING IT WASN'T HARD, BUT A BIT MESSY IN A GALLEY KITCHEN (small)

Next attempt on this cold  breezy day, make hot tea with Hot Honey (infused with hot chilis).
I seeped it in the mug Judy gave 'the sisters' for Christmas. It was actually very good and warming. It would have been better if I had had cinnamon tea. May be it would taste like Hot Tamales !  It is hot even when it is cold...MMMMM!

TWO SIDES OF THE MUG: SISTERS WORKING OUT AND HAVING FUN

MY FAVORITE CANDIES AT THE MOMENT

The concert from Mount Carmel was beautiful and spiritually moving. The technology and the sound was  crisp and clear.
There was a standing ovation in the church after the hour performance. Father Zinno thanked the vocalists and musicians. Thank you Father Zinno, Father Steve, the musicians and vocalists.

THE CHURCH DURING THE CONCERT

Michael called to ask what we were up to. Tom was washing my jeep and I was creating stuff.  My last thing today was part of a birthday gift.

OYSTER SHELL PROJECT

By the way, it is still cold outside but there is less wind. I went out to spray this with lacquer. I think I am done ✅ doing today.

Judy texted to say she met my friend Ray on her bike ride this morning. Even though she was bundled head to toe with her helmet and sunglasses on, he asked her if she was my sister. Lol. I texted him. He said she and I could be twins. I told him, funny you should say that since she has one.
I sent him a photo.
CHRISTMAS 2019

Ray mentioned that our friend , Tom S is in Key West having single handed his boat there. I'll  connect with him in case he is still there next week when I run the KW 5K next Sunday.  It will be totally different since we are assigned running times—with Covid we can't run 5,000 strong. I know not as many people have registered.

We heard from Sharon who is taking the train from Va to Sanford like we did. We hope she enjoys it like we did!

So, that is how I filled my day! Tomorrow, a lot more exercise!

Dinner was left over pasta, etc, from last night. All good.

By 5:45, it was already gettin dark.

Sharon connected with Stephanie and me as she arrived in Va to take the Auto Train tomorrow. We hope she enjoys the experience like we did. While in Va, she visited Mount Vernon. We loved visiting there when we took the boat into the Potomac. Thanks for the memories, Sharon.
