DAY 20: JANUARY 18, 2021: MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY

The run was good. This weekend, the days are suppose to get warmer which means running will be harder and sweatier. I heard there will be snow in the northeast. I would love to head to Loon and ski with Leslie or out west with Claudia and Gloria. I do miss skiing. I just don't know how my hands will do in the cold. I am constantly using hand lotion here and it's warmer.

I am watching some MLK memorials and celebrations. If only his message were heard today and people would listen to EVERYONE and not like thinkers.

I am watching Dylan on The Today Show. I remember when Todd was training her while on MSNBC. She is amazing. Look at the dress she had on today! Yowza!, This is truly not for anyone with dizziness issues. 😆
NO WORDS CAN DESCRIBE THIS BUT I WOULD LOVE TO WEAR 👩‍💻 IT

TGIS PHOTO IS AMAZING! SIMPLY AMAZING AND BRINGS BACK INCREDIBLE MEMORIES
This is when I appreciate the fact that Face Book reminds us in photos of special times. I can't wait until ALL of us can be together again. This virus has messed up so many plans. The blessing is, we are all healthy!

After Zumba and toning and breakfast, I got the great idea, NOT , to clean windows and get the road dust off the  ðŸ§¼ shades. They look super, but whew, took so long. Worth it, though!

SO CLEAN, IF THE SCREENS WERE NOT THERE, I WOULD NOT KNOW IT WAS A WINDOW

I called Joan. She is busy with moving groceries from the dinghy to the boat. Boat life may be glamorous , but, it also keeps you young with the work it takes to be a good boat live aboard. Joan and Gordon have mastered that.

Last night I did FaceTime with Debra. It made something feel normal. We have not spoken for months. She actually dressed for the occasion, lol. Scarf , lipstick, and all. Ha!

The rest of the day, I decided to paint and read.

I HAD OUT PAINTS AND FORGOT TO TRY THIS, SO, TOMORROW

Peggie B called us today. She said: I said:" Call Alexa, call Peggie". because she had lost her phone.
Lol!, So, Alexa called me! She meant herself, but, it gave us a chance to chat and catch up. I called her back, and bingo, she found her phone.Success!

Our yacht broker, Bill called today. Apparently, the person , and I use that term loosely since I don't like the man, who bought the Monk can't use the radio for rescue because the MMSI number was still in our name. I think I will make him wait and not remind Tom.... Ha!
Tom said he did deregister the radio but maybe it wasn't recorded.
This man was less than forthcoming, and his not being forthcoming made me angry. I would not have wanted to sell him the boat. Some people know the story.

I painted a bit today making a few more cards. I still want to paint that flamingo. Looks so easy, but it never is that easy for me. I need Muriel here. Her art skills are amazing. She doesn't even need to see a photo. She simply paints freestyle. 🤗 🤗

We talked to Jason and Sharon next door. They will be here for an Italian dinner on Wednesday.  As we speak, I am making meatballs. Oooh, they are spicy.

We spoke with Michael. Good for him, he bought a new F150.

Before dinner, we went for a double bike ride around the park. We saw Rodmey. He was retrailoring his boat. Pretty boat!
PRETTY FISHING BOAT

Dinner was fresh, I mean extremely fresh sea mackerel. Barbara, a Zumba friend, and her husband love to fish. They caught so much they shared. I asked her how she knew so much about fish and their species. She said that is what happens when you marry a man who loves to fish.
The fish was delicious 🤤 with sautéed green peppers and mushrooms.

Tomorrow I will do Dawn's virtual class. Tom goes to Stretch and relax with Sylvia. After that, who knows!
