The road around to the exit of the park was, whew, golf cart narrow, with tall gas lights lining the path, I’d call it, not road. Slowly we zigzagged out because of course, it was a winding path, not straight. I kept watching the Jeep in the side mirror to be sure it was directly behind us. Got to love the Airforce 1/Blue Ox System for its towing accuracy. It was worth every penny.
Tom is getting brave with the beast. He decided that instead of traveling south on 75, Alligator Alley, he wanted to try Tamiami Trail since he felt it would be something different. Only problem is there is a median and we can’t go left. No U turns can be made with this. He turned into the hospital parking lot thinking we could come out at a light and be able to make that left turn. If only it were that easy. The parking lot twisted and turned. I thought surely we would have to disconnect the car. We didnt.
We had to go right to find another light and go around a 2 mile block which enabled Tom to head toward RT 41, not Alligator Alley, 75. Last time we did that route there were dead alligators not deer by the roadside.
Noe we are on our way in the right direction 20 minutes since we left the park.
Route 41is a 2 lane road, one lane each way. We are certainly heading East. The sun was directly in our faces. It is pretty in the Everglades. Lots of boating memories here with MERMAID and MYC.
Just saw our first dead gator. We toured this area many times. By boat, again by RV, and , in the past, when we were searching for the last TOMFOOLERY, we took a side trip and went on Air boat tours through the Everglades. We saw lots of living gators then.
STILL OUR FAVORITE HALLOWEEN DECORATION.
This boater stayed in his boat too long. Lol!
We just passed Miccosukee Indian Village we visited when we stayed at Everglades City in the RV last March.

It was 90 degrees plus when we arrived. Whew! I patiently worked on the Dish , and it worked! I texted both Michelle and Robert to let them know the transfer of two different zip codes through Dish, and we have Sat TV! Thank goodness!
If it hadn’t worked, Robert told us we would have a very expensive paperweight! Ouch!
Tom tried to plug into the electrical pedestal, but the receptacle was installed upside down. Tom fixed it to be usable, but I called Romney so he can have the electrician fix it. It needs to be flipped, but Tom isn’t an electrician. He does his best. At least we have air conditioning now.
I think we are now settled in. I called mom and spoke to MICHAEL regarding mail. I texted Linda and Carl through whom we found this place. Too funny, they were 10 Miles behind us.
We were registering and getting the appropriate tags put on the car when they pulled in behind us. We are looking forward to a wonderful winter season.
I appreciate texts, emails, and calls even more when we are away. Today emails from SHIRLEY, texts from the Girls, GERI and LINDA, and calls from home makes me being here less homesick.
I texted Chan, Michael, TODD, and Chell regarding our Panama trip on November 6, We may be only to connect by email and text.

RECENTLY WE SPOKE WITH JANN AND BILL TO BEGIN THINKING ABOUT OUR ALASKA TRIP
We spoke with Debra and John about our up and coming trip. It was an accident „butt“ dial but we still talked.
WE ARE HAPPY TO BE AT OUTDOOR RESORTS AND LOOK FORWARD TO NEW ADVENTURES (I think).
Just chatted with Joan. We are happy they arrived safely at Cheryl’s. We spoke to John E. only to find out tomorrow is his birthday. He was always ready to help us at MYC and even beyond. Hope we can meet up with him.
Today we traveled 187.1 miles from Naples to Long Key. Tom Said we used 19 gallons of diesel fuel and 9.9miles/ gallon ( a bit more than the boat since we could travel an hour on 2 gallons).
