Our breakfast was minimal compared to the past 10 days. Carolyn and Rick just texted. No Deck 14 Horizon for breakfast today. We may have withdrawals. Tom ordered his omelette from today rather than from the chef. I’m sure his was better.
HOME IN LONG KEY, FLORIDA
To continue my recap of the cruise, after Limon, , Costa Rica, we headed to Falmouth, Jamaica. It was Wednesday, November 13th and we spent the day at sea 296 miles to Falmouth. The day was a little rough. New friends Huey and Miriam said Miriam was sick all day.
It was a lazy type day so I went to the gym for weight on the afternoon. Dinner was formal tonight. Lobster tails and petit filets were on the menu.
The show, once again and dancers were phenomenal. I saw my dancer friend again in the gym. He is not big in stature but so powerful as he tosses those female dancers in the air. The Bayou show had amazing costumes , stage set, and music.
On Thursday, November 14, we were in Falmouth. A pilot on e again, guided us to the dock. We docked in a berth Starboard side of the quay. Walking around the docks and shops was hot but breezy.
DOCK FENDERS WERE HUGE, AS LARGE AS OUR INFLATABLE DINGHY LOL!
SUCH A BEAUTIFUL COURT YARD OF SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS. ARE WE REALLY IN JAMAICA???
As we were heading back to the ship, Rick noted he lost his boarding pass. Tom went in one direction, I in another. A woman found it. After confirming that Tom knew the owner, an interrogation a judge would be proud of, the woman gave Tom Rick‘s card. Then we couldn’t find Rick and Carolyn .
Then I heard my name being called in the distance....Peeggiiee. Lol
Rick was aboard on Deck 7 telling us they were aboard. We had no doubt security would let him on. That was daily Caput!
The show was good tonight, as always. We laughed so hard!
Our days are long, our nights long... worth every minute. On Veterans Day, the ship held a moving ceremony to honor those who serve and have served.
Leo and Stella left messages for Papa Tom. Each said, in their sweet little voice, Happy Veterans Day. Love you. Thank you for your service.
Told Tom to save that voicemail. Adorable!!
YUMMY
LOVING POOL TIME AT SWIM LESSONS
After leaving Falmouth, Jamaica, we spent Friday at sea for our return to Ft Lauderdale. We traveled the Old Bahama Channel, it’s called, on a northwesterly course north of the Cuban Coastline. During the night we hit a rough passage area. I was awaken by the clanking of the empty hangars in the closet (empty because all our clothes were packed). I still feel like I have sea legs today. Running outside today was different than the treadmill on on rocking rolling vessel. I could not run on deck. There was no deck, not even promenade that went all the wat around. I would have had to turn around on each end.
In all we travelled 3,154 Nautical Miles or 3,627 Statute Miles from Port Everglades and returning to Port Everglades— 10 days— November 6— November 16. It was a fun trip with lots of laughs and memorable Moments.
Now it is The 17th and we are back to reality, kind of. We had an opportunity to chat with mom, Todd, and the Kids. Always good.
Today is football Sunday and we look forward to watching Buffalo at Miami and the Patriots at the Eagles in Phillie.
I worked on Christmas lists, lol and some crafts today while watching.
Tonight our plan is to go to the movies with GERI and BILL.
MY TURTLE FROM FALMOUTH, JAMAICA
Spent the afternoon creating with hodgepodge and a glue gun, my favorite tool and watching football. Congratulations, Buffalo for beating Miami. Presently watching Patriots vs Eagles. Ugh! Ouch... so far in second quarter.
Great to be back to civilization with cell, text, and email service. Connecting to family and friends easier!
E-Mails René and Bob ... so glad they can follow us. Texts from Todd, GERI, JOAN, Carolyn, Lucia and Deb and my sisters— I missed all this. I know it was only 10 days, but...
My sisters and I are already making plans for December. Lol!
GERI texted about the movies, so we went. Terminator — great special effects but now it’s time to sleep.
Manana😴
