DAY 38: TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2019: A DAY OF DOING...STUFF

Early morning run was cool and easy. Some days are so much easier than others . I made a trip to the post office: nothing there. Next, I was off to Geri’s to go through the glass cupboard. We found all we needed for a perfect waterfront Thanksgiving Day. Turkey on the gas grill, veggies on the Gorham grill,  and sides made in crockpots will make for a great day when one has no kitchen at the moment. But, the location on the ocean will make up for all of that and so will the company and conversation after a run on Duck Key.
Gordon and JOAN, GERI and Bill, Tom and I, a cozy group.
We texted today. Boats, homes, RVs, everybody is so busy fixing, remodeling and maintaining. ALL MEAN WORK.

We also did some small maintenance work by replacing a filter in an air conditioning unit— screw driver needed and one strong hug to help us move the hutch. Hard to believe but mission was accomplished in less than 2
Hours. That never happens.

Mom had eye surgery today. JUDY brought her. Many texts between my siblings. All went well. Michael kept dad occupied with breakfast and shopping. We are fortunate to have such a giving family. Mom made out fine. Jane will bring her for her check up tomorrow.

Linda and Carl called and invited us to an event Saturday night. We haven’t spent time with them for a while so it will be fun.

I know it’s early but I have made and or bought many Christmas gifts so I spent the afternoon wrapping. Now I have to go shopping again. Good thing we are driving home— lots to carry in the Jeep.  It’s very difficult to shop with so few stores around. I’ve already done a lot on line. But, feels good to have a lot done.

I used my new grill to make a London Broil for dinner. It was very tasty with salad.

Tom and I took a walk to the gazebo on the waterfront tonight. Very pretty. Next time we will be there for a sunset.
