DAY 37: MONDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2019: WHERE DOES OUR TIME GO

I was up at 7 and out for a run. The wind was strong from the NW and the temperature 65 degrees. It was perfect.
After a leisurely breakfast, phone calls, texts, and emails I sent to the post office. Unbeknownst to me, Tom had his Tervis Coffee mug on the front bumper of my car.  Mmm, isn’t that where everyone puts their coffee mug?
I returned and he asked where his mug was? How do I know. I walked around the park— nothing. We drove back to the post office— no luck. We came back to the campground on the other side of the road—nada! He no longer has THAT special cup. I checked in the office just in case . NOPE!

Next was a trip to the dry cleaners I had a $50 gift certificate for. Ton had 5 Tommy Bahama Shirts, a dress shirt, a tie, and Sport Jacket. The cleaners is out of business. Figures! We went to the next dry cleaners. They have moved their location back in the direction we just left. We went to the new location— sign said : Opened 8—5. Yet, they were closed. Mmmm??? A small sign said Doctor‘s appointment. Will reopen at 3:45.
At 4:00 we returned . The owner was about to lock the door. What? They close at 5:00. Oh, yes, we are in the Keys. We finally dropped off the clothes with the promise they would be do e by Friday at 10:00. I’ll believe  it when I see it!!

Next stop bicycle shop to buy lights we need for riding around the park at dusk or dawn. No more bike shop. It is now Habitat for Humanity. At least it is gone, but something good is in its place.

We stopped at Publix for green beans I plan to grill tonight at GERI and BILLs. I have my specie Grill in the car since at the moment, they have no kitchen, as theirs is being remodeled.

We stopped by Marathon Marina and Boatyard to visit Gordon and Joan. It was the best part of our afternoon. We told them about the crazy day. Worth laughs anyway. Was great to see them!

GORDON AND JOAN ON THE BLUE GOOSE

OLD FRIENDS: BONNIE AND AL. GREAT TO SEE THEM!,

THE  BLUE GOOSE
Another great part of our day was dinner with the Weirs, Gordon, Joan, Peter and Jaime. Good friends, food prepared without a kitchen as a dry run for our outdoor Thanksgiving Celebration. No kitchen... the  Native Americans and Pilgrims didn’t have one either. Yet, lots to be thankful for. We are quite a  crew!

A GREAT DINNER COOKED COMPLETELY OUTDOORS   : PERFECT

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SUNSET VIEW: MY FAVORITE VIEW IN THE KEYS

We returned to the Coach and rested well after a crazy day, but great night!
