We chatted with Todd and Michael. Good to talk to them before we were out to sea. Checked in with mom and dad, also. Our last look at Facebook was made in the car since unwonted have phone service. Lucia,
Deb, and connected with Sharon R and Sharon D. We texted with Chan and Michelle — all wishing us a great cruise!
Checking in was a piece of cake as was security. By 11:30, we were on the ship waiting for Carolyn and Rick. By noon, they had arrived, we located our staterooms , and went to the Bordeau Room for lunch. Miguel is our waiter .

THIS CREW IS READY TO PARTY:LUNCH
First things first, after lunch a tour of the ship. Island Princess has 1, 970 passengers. There are 900 crew. It’s one of the smallest ships we have ever been on. The muster was at 3:15 was quick and we continued our walk around the ship.
SAFETY MUSTER
At 4, we lifted the fenders and the ship departed the dock. We had lots of memories of this area—us sailing in and out of Port Everglades on Tomfoolery, waiting for the 17th Street Bridge to open, walking through Los Alos with Linda, spending time with Linda and Dick at their Ft L condo and eating Cream of Bottom Shelf.
We have walked this beach on ultra winding days getting stung by pelting sand, and stayed at the Hall of Fame Marina. Whew, lots in this city.

DICK AND LINDA‘S BEAUTIFUL CONDO AT PORT EVERGLADES
We hit some of the shops on the ship and signed on for 2 excursions. I found the fitness center for tomorrow morning.
