DAY 39: CRAZINESS ON LONG KEY

Up at 7:00 am for a run. It was a more difficult one. Funny, yesterday was so easy, today not so much. I think it was the wind. It was so strong and almost felt like it was pushing me backwards. But, I did finish and that is what 

mattered. 

I returned to the Rv to an unhappy Tom. The sensor valve in the water pump has apparently gone Kaput, yes, Kaput! Water was coming out of the fill tube and we weren’t filling but we were full.  The city water pipes are supposed to fill the tank 3/4 full and shut off automatically but it didn‘t. We emptied the tanks but that didn’t work. Time to call General RV. The shut off valve is probably Kaput!

GERI and I were going to the KCB exercise class but she had a conflict. So, we will wait until Friday. It’s a great class with weights and exercise ball, an all around great class.

Our plan was to go to Big Pine Bike Shop this Morning. As we ate breakfast, we did the wash. Today became laundry day. Problem number 2 arose. The washer worked beautifully. The dryer ran for 30 minutes, then just stopped. It smelled a slight bit of wire heating. After that, the dryer would not work. As I said, Time to call, General RV.Tom checked fuses. He checked the vents. I checked the filter—no luck. 

We stopped at 79 T to pick up our tree light for the palm trees. They will look great. 

Chatted with mom. Her eye surgery was successful. She can read a restaurant menu！ Yeah！Many texts between my sisters and brother。 phone calls with my brother in law。All good！ Everyone is happy。Texts with Emily、 Michelle、 Todd、 and  Geri。 Great  to be connected to everyone！

Time to go to the laundromat。 

Now that should be easy, right? No! I went to the laundry to find I needed a card. So I called the office where I was told to go to the Rec Center and get a card by putting $5 in the card machine. I received a card worth $3.00. There was a $2 fee for the card. Okay... supposedly. We can add on to the card for no further $2 charge. 

So I went to the laundromat, put the wet clothes in, and put slipped the card in the slot. There was no place to choose the amount of time or how much $ I wanted to use on the card. When I opened the door, the clothes were dry and there was still plenty of time but I couldn’t figure out how to get the time on the card. Next time, but I’m hoping this will be fixed by then. 

We went to Cvs where I tried to make some copies of 6 photos. Sounds easy, but after an hour, I had 6 copies. Luck would have it that all my phone photos came up. 10 out of the 2 thousand said: photo can not be disp,add. What a riot. I took all of them, nothing was different. Ha!

I finally got them but not without a few bad words spoken. 

We were passing by Marathon Marina and Boatyard so we took a 15 Minute break to visit JOAN and Gordon. A quick hello and hug recharged me! Ha. They have their own boat issues. Always something!

GERI, where are those CFD‘s? 

No problems are life threatening, just a pain in the A——!

After stopping at the Post Office, we returned to find that Carl and Linda were stopping by after a bike ride. Wine time! We all chatted about the day. Linda went to the beach. Next time, I go! We relaxed for an hour or so. A woman named Pat stopped by to invite us to the Thanksgiving Dinner at the Resort. We thanked her but said we would be in Marathon for Thanksgiving. She was so thoughtful and said there will be other events!

A dinner of fresh sausage and grilled Brussels sprouts was delicious. At least the day ended well.
