DAY 86: MONDAY, JANUARY 6, 2020: A NEW WEEK BEGINS AND MORE NEW OUTDOOR RESORTS EXPERIENCES

FROM MY SISTER AS A REMINDER OF HOME

FROM JANE AND LARRY: ANOTHER HOME REMINDER

ANOTHER OBJECT FROM MY SISTER: A HOT PLATE

Can you tell no one wants us to forget where HOME really is: WHERE THE HEART IS!

This hot plate/ cutting board has come in handy many times in the past few days. When we had the boat, the Sullivans gave us a teak cutting board in the shape of RI. That gets used often, especially outside on the picnic table.

The ZUMBA and toning was lots of fun. Invigorating.

After breakfast, I mailed some packages at the post office. At 3:00 Mr. Bill the repair man came to check out our need forma dryer repair and the water  pump. He looked at everything and promised to return on Friday to make repairs.

As we were planning to pick up Gordon and Joan for dinner at GERI and Bills, my sister texted to say that my Aunt Sarah’s husband John passed away. He was 95 and in and out of the hospital and nursing home. It’s very sad and I will call her tomorrow. We will not be going home for the services which will  be SATURDAY.
He loved going to my sisters for the 4th of July and my other sisters for Christmas parties. He will be missed.

Dinner at GERI s was quiet and relaxing. The tacos were delicious. Wine refreshing . And conversation enlightening. GERI showed us some of her art work. I brought one one, a water color of a manatee. I need to frame this.

We returned Joan and Gordon to their boat and headed home.
Time to sleep. It was a good day, except for John‘s passing. May he Rest In Peace.
