DAY 88: WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 7, 2020: RUN, ZUMBA, LUNCH WITH FRIENDS

I was up at 6:30 for a run. A cold front is passing through so it is breezy and chilly, but a great temp for running.
At 8:30, ZUMBA began. By 9:30 I was getting a shower before leaving for KW.

I also called Fantasy Tours to make a payment for our Summer Alaska trip. Jann mentioned the trip insurance so we have that info also. Jasmine said 25 RVs will be in our Caravan. That should make for an interesting group of People from all over the US.

TOM SET UP OUR PALM TREE LIGHTS LADT NIGHT AND THIS IS HOW THEY LOOKED

I returned to the library to take photos of two paintings I thought were interesting.

VERY KEYSIE AND COLORFUL

On the way, we passed Joan and Gordon by car. We were texting each other at the time. So funny.
Lots of funny texts between my exercise girls at home. Topic: retirement! Wish they all could be here too.

By 10:30 we were off to Key West to meet Ken and Doreen. I love KW so I was really looking forward to it. In The area of College Road we ran into some Traffic. In town, many people were walking the streets. Two cruise ships were in. I don’t mind the traffic and pedestrians but it would  help if people looked before they crossed and drivers  stopped at stop signs. But, they don’t. And don’t forget the bikes that are suppose to share a lane but instead take it over. The clincher was the woman on a bike with a child tag along who was crossing streets no watching. Ugh! Someone was watching over that little one with a helmet on.

The easiest place to park was in the parking garage near Truman’s Little White House so we parked there. We walked to Front Street to meet Ken and Doreen ar Two Friends Patio Restaurant, delicious and a lot of fun. We hadn’t seen them since the summer but also saw them at my sister‘s Christmas party. Lunch was delicious and the conversation perfect.

We documented our visit with a photo.

A GREAT LUNCH FOLLOWED BY A WALK THROUGH TOWN

We walked along the area of Truman’s annex and a few shops before stopping along the waterfront to watch boats coming and going. It was nearly 4 when said goodbye and headed back to the car. We are happy we went into KW. I could go every day if it wasn’t so far.

On the way home we saw this:

TODD CALLED IT THE REDNECK TRANSPORT, LOL!

Chan Sent us this Great Photo of JOSEPH and the unique way his teachers recognized his hard work . I love it!!

RA, RA, JOSEPH!! CONGRATULATIONS!! WE ARE PROUD OF YOU , TOO
Keep up the great work, big guy!,

We stopped along the way for groceries at Winn Dixie and goods at Home Depot. Since we were in the Marathon area , it was easier to stop then. Over 100 miles traveled today. We also stopped at the Elks Club to pick up a calendar of events. Because, we don’t have enough to do! Lol!,,

After a light dinner, I made some hot plate tiles. I’m grateful to Susan for helping me with finding photos.
It’s been a great day!
